Just thought I'd drop a journal entry for y'all, since I haven't in over a year XD
Here's whats up:
Great news: I got a new job <3
That means a regular paycheck, which means commissions from my favorite artists X3
It also means I will have less time for making art- not that much less, though.
In other news, I broke up with my big time boyfriend, who had become my fiance... we were actually engaged to be married (finally). Some shit went South, and we ended up having a big fight :C
The fight resulted in my fiance deciding that he'd had enough of relationships, and would rather go back to Iraq and kill terrorists than deal with girlfriends and such. So basically he left for the closest military base to rejoin his unit... leaving me here alone, with no money, no car, and no job. Luckily I got the call asking for an interview at the local grocery store not long after, but I still had to move back in with my family. So now I'm living with my folks again, which isn't bad by any means, I love them more than anything in the world, and I'm glad to be able to be with them and help out around the farm.
About the World of Dusk Project I've been working on... basically I got creative one day and decided to make a series of erotic renders, and I needed a good, open environment model to put them in to render in XNALara. So I made the desert environment model and the story that revolved around it, the place known as Ontaska. I was heavily inspired by the art of Zdzisław Beksiński, a surrealist artist whose dark, ethereal and disturbing works I find incredibly beautiful and haunting. I actually used some of his paintings to create textures for my most recent models, all of which I'm in the process of releasing for those who use XPS XNALara.
Inspired by my own creation, I turned it into a fantasy world called Dusk, a world of great mystery and fantastic places and peoples. I have a number of renders and models I want to make within the world of Dusk, and I've already built several models and custom OCs to go with it.
I'm also beginning to put my foot in the door of the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop- I've decided on the Necrons as my army of choice, and I'm building up a force, buying as much as I can, to have my own army, hopefully to play with other fans at some point. Its an expensive hobby, but building and painting miniatures is a lot of fun, and very rewarding
Anyway, I plan to continue my Dusk render and model series, as well as posting some pics of my miniatures, if I can figure out how to get my damn camera to take good pics of them XD
Also, I have some other arts I've made, some beautiful drawings I've done using pencils, ink pens, and charcoal I want to share with you guys.
Thats all for now, thanks for following my work!
